Create an Archetype

To create a new Archetype:

  1. Navigate to the asset "Archetypes"

  2. Click on "Create"

  3. Fill in the fields as described in the following tables.

Archetype Properties (Characters)

Property Description

Archetype Asset Name

Type a specific name for the archetype.

Driver

A Driver is an internal motivation that shapes a digital persona’s behavior, influencing how it responds, interacts, and makes decisions.

Select only one of the following values:

Progress Motivation: Growth Description: Striving for self-improvement and development.

Connection Motivation: Relationships Description: Seeking meaningful bonds and understanding.

Order Motivation: Structure Description: Valuing stability, organization, and predictability.

Exploration Motivation: Curiosity Description: Seeking new experiences and learning opportunities.

Pleasure Motivation: Enjoyment Description: Pursuing fun, joy, and satisfaction.

Security Motivation: Safety Description: Ensuring protection and emotional stability.

Purpose Motivation: Meaning Description: Striving for a sense of mission or deeper values.

NOTE: This field is currently non-functional. The driver selection will not affect persona functionality yet but is a placeholder for future behavior alignment.

Description

Type a free-text description of the intended personality. This description is provided to the language model to help guide its understanding of the archetype’s core character.

Archetype Properties (Traits)

Traits are configured using the following values: NONE, LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH.

Trait Description

Neuroticism

Reflects the character’s tendency to experience negative emotions.

Subtraits:

Volatility: Unpredictable emotions, emotional reactivity, impulsivity.

Withdrawal: Anxiety, social avoidance, emotional detachment.

Agreeableness

Indicates compassion and politeness in social behavior.

Subtraits:

Compassion: Empathy, care, sensitivity, patience.

Politeness: Respect, thoughtfulness, courtesy.

Conscientiousness

Focus on organization, planning, and goal-directed behavior.

Subtraits:

Industriousness: Purposefulness, efficiency, persistence.

Orderliness: Organization, attention to detail, structured thinking.

Extraversion

Level of sociability, expressiveness, and emotional enthusiasm.

Subtraits:

Enthusiasm: Sociality, talkativeness, positivity, energy.

Assertiveness: Clear expression, boundary-setting, self-advocacy.

Openness

Character’s curiosity, imagination, and openness to new ideas.

Subtraits:

Openness: Reflectiveness, creativity, curiosity, aesthetic sensitivity.

Intellect: Complex reasoning, vocabulary, evidence-based problem solving.

Extra Traits

Unique standalone dimensions that add specific behaviors:

Formality:Use of structured, formal tone and language.

Machine-likeness: Degree to which the character embraces its AI identity.

Entertainment: Capacity to amuse and engage using humor, trivia, metaphors, and memes.

In addition to trait configuration, each Archetype also supports dominant traits. These are selected from the same 13 trait categories but marked as either true (dominant) or false. Dominant traits further define core behavioral priorities of the persona.
